This page lists known issues in 007 First Light. It’s not exhaustive; our goal is to highlight the most common or impactful problems we’re actively tracking, plus any available workarounds.

Outstanding issues
HDR turns off after exiting the game
- • Platforms: PC
- • What’s happening: HDR turns itself off every time the player exits the game.
- • Workaround: Re-enable HDR manually after restarting the game.
Controller input not recognized on the start screen
- • Platforms: Xbox Series X & PC
- • What’s happening: The game does not progress past the start screen as controller input is not recognized.
- • Workaround: Hold the Xbox button, restart, but don't close the game, then go back in with Quick Resume.
Legacy/Collector's Edition content not granted (missing Obsidian Gold Suit)
- • Platforms: PC, PS5
- • What’s happening: Players with the Legacy/Collector’s Edition may not see or receive their edition DLC (e.g., Obsidian Gold Suit) and may think a separate code is missing.
- • Additional notes: We are aware of the issue and are working on it. We hope to resolve this as soon as possible, and will inform you once this is the case.
Save Failed notifications / unable to create save games
- • Platforms: PC
- • What’s happening: Players are unable to create save games during gameplay. The auto-save function does not appear to work properly, with repeated “Save Failed” notifications appearing during gameplay, resulting in progress not being saved. In some cases, the “Save Failed” error may prevent the player from starting the game.
- • Workaround: None at this time.
IOI Account sign-in prompt missing / errors during account creation
- • Platforms: All
- • What’s happening: The in-game IOI Account sign-in prompt is missing for some players. Some players also receive “An error has occurred” pop-ups during IOI Account creation and do not receive a confirmation email.
- • Workaround: None at this time.
- • Additional notes: Issue appears to affect the IOI Account sign-in/account creation flow and may prevent players from linking or confirming their IOI Account in-game.
Audio crackling during gameplay
- • Platforms: PC / PS5
- • What’s happening: Players are experiencing recurring audio crackling during gameplay. Reports mention crackling every few seconds, while others note it happening specifically during cutscenes or when certain frequencies are played.
- • Workaround: None at this time.
Blurry / low-resolution textures
- • Platforms: PS5 Pro
- • What’s happening: Some textures appear to load slowly or display in low resolution, resulting in blurry visuals and a subpar visual experience.
- • Workaround: None at this time.
Windows Uses integrated Graphics Card instead of Dedicated

• What’s happening: The game tries to use integrated Graphics Cards instead of dedicated ones, resulting in low performance or the game not loading.
• Workaround: Deleting the "Adapter" registry file should result in the game using the intended graphics card.- Open the Windows Taskbar Menu & enter regedit to open the Registry Editor
- Confirm the User Account Control prompt
- Follow this path: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IO Interactive\007 First Light
- Right-click the file Adapter and select Delete
- Close the Editor and start your game.
Note: Please make sure not to accidentally delete anything else in the registry, as this is the heart of your machine.
